'N Sync INCREDIBLE FEAT -- 2.4 MILLION ALBUMS SOLD IN A WEEK: More than 2.4 million copies of 'N Sync's new album "No Strings Attached" album flew out of stores last week, according to just-released Soundscan figures, marking the first time that any album has sold more than two million copies in a one-week period.

No Strings Attached, of course, also debuts at Number One on the Billboard 200, and is the first album in history to sell more than one million units in a day (on March 21). 'N Sync's opening week more than doubled the previous record set in May 1999 when the group's labelmates, the Backstreet Boys, sold 1.13 million copies of their album "Millennium" in its first week on the market.

Meanwhile, 'N Sync's intense promotional schedule presses onward with a performance April 4 on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and a visit to the Donny and Marie show on April 28. After that, the band will appear on a Snick House concert special airing, April 29 on Nickelodeon.

In addition, the five group members appear on five different TV Guide collector's covers this week. The first leg of 'N Sync worldwide tour in support of No Strings Attached will begin May 9 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
