Creative public sculptures from around the world

On June 29, 2013, visitors enjoy a sculpture by artist Marco Cianfanelli depicting former South African President Nelson Mandela near Howick, South Africa, where Mandela was arrested in 1962 and subsequently jailed for 27 years. The "Father of the Nation" has inspired many artists to create works to commemorate Nelson Mandela International Day on July 18, 2013 as declared by the United Nations to recognize the Nobel Prize winner's contribution to reconciliation. On Dec 5, 2013, Mandela died at the age of 95. [Photo/IC]
