Set in a Thai jail, the story features an undercover Hong Kong policeman's fight against a gang that traffics human organs. Koo plays the boss of the gang who wants to murder someone for their heart that he needs to save his life.

The movie, also starring Chinese action stars Wu Jing, Zhang Jin and Thai actor Tony Jaa, will be released across the mainland on June 18.

Pou-soi Cheang, the movie's director, has told Chinese media that "in every action scene you see, real kung fu fighting skills on display".

Cheang, known for the 3-D fantasy film Journey to the West, which became the country's highest-grossing movie during last year's Spring Festival holiday, expects his latest title will also be a box-office hit.
