Elisabeth the musical

The most popular musical in the German language will premiere at Shanghai Culture Square today. The life of Austria’s infamous empress Elisabeth, better known as Princess Sissi in China, is presented in the visual extravaganza of a musical. An exhibition of the costumes is going on at Xintiandi, in the lobby of the shopping mall.

Mexican silver

More than 150 silver art pieces that represent the best of Mexican culture and tradition are on exhibition. The antique pieces have come from the Arocena Museum, and modern creations from Tane Foundation are also on show. Silver coins from Mexico in the collection of Hangzhou Museum in Zhejiang province are presented, evidence of the exchanges on both sides of the Pacifi c Ocean hundreds of years ago.
