Yuanmingyuan Temple Fair

Feb 19-24

Yuanmingyuan Relic Park 28, Qinghua West Road

Don't miss the ice show in the grounds of the Old Summer Palace. Sports on ice were a traditional entertainment during the Qing Dynasty (1616-1911). Other performances at this year’s fair include folk songs, dances and Chinese kungfu The temple fair with most “imperial” flavor.

Lianhuachi Temple Fair

Lianhuachi Park 48 Lianhuachi Road

Lianhuachi (Lotus Pond) Park is regarded as the birthplace of Beijing, and it has a history of over 3,000 years. This is one of the most traditional temple fairs, and features many events.

Temple of Heaven cultural week

Temple of Heaven Park Tiantan Road This is where the emperors used to make their obeisance to Heaven, and the fair features performances of the traditional music and dance used in the ceremonies. However, the annual tribute ceremony has been canceled this year for safety reasons.

Ditan Park Temple Fair

Feb 18-25 Temple of Earth Park Andingmenwai Street Ditan Park Temple Fair has been held for three decades and is very popular. The fair will be decorated with some 10,000 red lanterns this year.

Dongyue Temple Fair

Dongyue Temple 141 Chaoyangmenwai Street Dongyue Temple Fair is among the oldest in Beijing, with a history dating back to the Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368). Praying for good fortune is the theme of the fair, and you will see a variety of ornaments bearing the Chinese character for blessing“福”

Longtan Temple Fair

Feb 18-25

Long Tan Park 8, Longtan Road
