One of China's largest bottled water producers has filed a lawsuit against a newspaper for reporting that its products failed to meet national standards.
Nongfu Spring said that Beijing Times concocted 76 "groundless" reports from April 10 to May 7 to ruin the company's reputation.
The water company said on its website Tuesday that it has filed a lawsuit at Beijing No 2 People's Court, and also filed a complaint with the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and TV.
