Culture Insider: Things you need to know about Mid-Autumn Festival

Villages such as those in Guangdong and Jiangxi have a tradition to "burn a brick tower" on Mid-Autumn Day. In the morning of the Mid-Autumn Day, people build a hollow tower with bricks and tiles and fill the insides with straw, firewood and tree leaves. At night when the full moon rises, they light the fire at the bottom of the tower. Immediately, the flames pour out of the tower and light up the sky. The photo shows the burning tower scene in Jinxian county, Jiangxi province, Sept 2, 2014.[Photo/IC]
