Cold front to chill Central, E China

BEIJING - A cold front sweeping Central and East China will bring temperatures down by up to 10 degrees Celsius over the coming two days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast on Monday.

The cold front will also bring strong winds to regions in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, North and Northeast China as well as areas along the Yellow and Huaihe rivers, the NMC said.

Meanwhile, it added, some regions in Anhui province and northern reaches of the Hanjiang River will experience light snow or sleet.

Meanwhile, eastern parts of Southwest China and the Yangtze River valley are likely to see more rain in the following three days, said the NMC.

Northern parts of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and some areas in Central and North China are also expected to embrace snow in the coming three days.
