The high-energy spectacle Burn the Floor is back in China. The show, which first captivated Beijing audiences in 2006, combines elegant sophistication of ballroom dancing with the strut and sensuality of rock 'n' roll.

Guqin performance

Zeng Chengwei, a leading figure with the Sichuan School of guqin (a seven-stringed zither), will team up with young guqin player Zeng He for a show. The father-and-son duo will perform their signature works, including Flowing River and Admiring the Orchid.

Blind poet's concert

The blind poet and folk singer Zhou Yunpeng will hold a concert in Beijing, featuring his works including The Blind Man's Cinema and Silent Breaths Like Puzzle. Losing his sight at age 9, Zhou, now 45, rose to fame after releasing his first album, The Silent Breath, in Beijing in 2002. The Chinese rock band Sound Fragment will be the guest performers.
