"It's all right that we have no guests, no convoy and no fireworks, as long as I have you-even though you are too drenched to look decent as a groom."

That's what Zhou Tian said on her wedding day when her waterlogged fiance finally showed up at her doorstep wearing slippers, after wading through waist-deep water.

Xinxiang city, Henan province was hit by record rains on July 9, when Zhou and her fiance were scheduled to hold their wedding ceremony. When the wedding began at a hotel at 4 pm, the couple had to rely on power generators, only a dozen guests showed up out of the 300 invited, and the chef was late, people.cn reported.

But the bride was filled with happiness: "I feel contented because he is someone worth waiting for." Their wedding photos became popular hits on social networks.
