A release and donation ceremony for the book Legacy of Cultural Treasures — Bronze Statues of Twelve Zodiac Animals in the Collection of an Overseas Chinese Collector was held on Dec 12 at National Committee of the CPPCC auditorium in Beijing.

Chinese-British collector Zhao Tailai recently brought his collection of the Qing Bronze Statues of Twelve Zodiac Animals to the Qing Imperial Summer Mountain Resort in Chengde, Hebei province, where they will be exhibited. A corresponding bilingual photo album has been published by Palace Museum Press.

Each of the Bronze Statues of Twelve Zodiac Animals is composed of an animal head, human body and a base with an average height of 1.4 meters.

Zhao donated the album to Chinese-British organizations and Chinese libraries at the ceremony.
