TAIPEI - More than ten tourists from the Chinese mainland have been sent to hospital after their coach overturned at 4:20 pm Monday (local time) in Taiwan's Hualien county, according to local traffic authorities.
The injured, including four to five that were seriously wounded, were part of a 35-person tour group that was organized by the Beijing-based China International Travel Service, local authorities said.
The tour group arrived at Taiwan on Sept 20 and initially planned to leave the island on Sept 27.
Staff have arrived at the hospital to assist in various matters after the accident, according to local authorities.
