(Xinhua) Updated: 2012-10-30 19:26

TRIPOLI - Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zaidan presented the cabinet line-up to the national congress for approval, the state-run TV reported Tuesday.

During a televised congress session, Zaidan announced his cabinet list, which includes 27 members. He nominated Ali Suleiman Aujali, Libya's ambassador to the United States, as new foreign minister.

Zaidan, a former diplomat, was elected in mid October Libya's prime minister after a vote in the national congress.

Earlier this month, the congress dismissed for the second time the cabinet line-up submitted by ex-Prime Minister Mustafa Abushagur.
