Buses in Nanjing have been requisitioned as school buses because the district could not afford special school buses, China National Radio reported.
A total of 234 buses transport students to 31 schools in Jiangning district, but more than 300 are needed, education authorities say. The price and maintenance costs of special school buses are too expensive, authorities say.
