Lone sailor now seeks soulmate

Ten years ago bartender Liz Clark, 34, from San Diego, California, quit her day job and made her dream of sailing around the world come true after retired professor Dr Arent H Schuyler gave her a free Cal 40 sailboat.

The professor encouraged her to pursue her passion on the condition that she would share her experiences by documenting her adventures along with way.

Setting sail in October 2005, Liz has traveled alone about 25,000 nautical miles to date. She has visited several exotic destinations so far, including Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Galapagos Islands.

It took Liz three years to prepare for her ocean endeavors and learn how to operate the vessel.

However, life on the ocean wave can get very lonely, so now Liz is looking for the perfect sailing partner to join her voyage.
