Meet the world's tallest married couple

With a combined height of 13 ft (423.47 cm), Chinese couple Sun Mingming, 33, and his wife, Xu Yan, 29, claim the title for tallest married couple, Guinness World Records announced on Thursday.

Sun and Xu, he measuring 7 ft (236.17 cm) and she 6 ft (187.3 com), are sport stars - he plays basketball and Xu is a handball player.

They met at the National Games of China in 2009 and over time fell in love before tying the knot.

Of their height, Sun and Xu say, "Everyday tasks such as traveling by car, plane or getting a room in a hotel do prove difficult, but we're used to these problems."

Their advice for a successful marriage is "no one is perfect, therefore you need to support one another on a daily basis."
