5.0-magnitude quake jolts waters off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING - A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit sea area of Yilan County in Taiwan at a depth of 6 kilometers at 4:24 p.m. Beijing Time on Friday, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 24.78 degrees north latitude and 121.98 degrees east longitude.
