Vendors' booths for the Ditan Temple Fair, being staged in Beijing over the Spring Festival holiday, sold quickly at auction on Thursday, with a top price of 200,000 yuan ($32,102), Bejing Daily reported on Dec 7.
The temple fair, one of the city's busiest, has been staged since 1985 and next year's will be held from Feb 10 to 16.
Catering firms contested the 34 booths on offer, with the favourably positioned No 2 booth attracting most attention from bidders, with at least 20 of them having to await a lottery result to learn if they had been successful.
