BEIJING - The public is generally satisfied with the way the country's officials are selected and managed, according to the results of a National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) poll.

The public gave a "credibility score" of 78.3 for this year's personnel selection, which was handled by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, according to the poll results.

The department's work in preventing employment-related corruption and guaranteeing the enrollment of high-quality personnel was scored at 78.08 points, while 79.96 points were given for the department's overall management, the poll indicated.

The poll results reflect increasing satisfaction with the official selection and management system, as their scores have increased for five consecutive years, according to an unnamed official with the National Bureau of Statistics.

The poll was conducted via a third party survey agency, which polled 79,178 individuals from all walks of life, the official said.
