Under the influence of Chinese people’s worship of Guan Gong, Cuban people gradually accepted Guan Gong as one of their gods. Guan Gong for Cuban people was a marshal during Three Kingdoms period (AD 220-280), and highly respected by Chinese people, named “San Fan Kon.” Influenced by the image of Santa Bárbara in Yoruba religion, Guan Gong’s face is painted red.
