ABOARD HAIXUN 01 - Chinese vessel Haixun 01 has intensified its effort to detect signals emitted from the black box of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 since Friday morning off the Australian western coast.

China steps up MH370 black box detection efforts

Haixun 01 arrived Friday at the new search area which is to the north of the 1.15 million square-kilometer patch earlier designated by the Australian side, according to a Xinhua correspondent aboard the Chinese search vessel.
