Philippine police nab 3 Japanese for human trafficking

MANILA - Philippine police arrested three Japanese nationals and four Filipinos on Monday night for their alleged involvement in human trafficking, a police officer said Tuesday.

Senior Supt. Roberto Fajardo of the Philippine National Police said the seven suspects were nabbed following a search of their office in Lingayen town of northern Pangasinan province.

Computers and vehicles were seized along with the suspects, who were arrested after they failed to present documents pertaining to their activities and the items seized from them, said Fajardo.

The police officer identified the suspects as Takayuki Umeda, 42, Jyunko Natori, 42, and Masahiro Kishigami, 26, Erlinda Tandoc, 40; Leonora Ceralde, 38, Josephine Gille, 34, and Rafael Tandoc.
