Aug 24, 2010 – Yichun, Heilongjiang province

A Brazilian-made ERJ-190 jet operated by Henan Airlines crashes while landing at Lindu Airport in Yichun city in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. Mismanagement and poor supervision were found to be the causes of the tragedy that killed 44 people and injured 52 others.

Nov 21, 2004 – Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region

A 50-seat plane plummets into the frozen lake of Nanhai Park in Baotou just a few seconds after take-off, killing all 47 passengers and six crew on board and another two people on the ground. The plane, a Canadian-made Bombardier CRJ-200, was headed for Shanghai.

May 7, 2002 – Dalian, Liaoning province

China Northern Airlines plane on a domestic flight from Beijing crashes just short of its destination in the major port city of Dalian, killing all 103 passengers and nine crew. Rescuers pulled more than 60 bodies from the water after the MD-82 aircraft crashed six miles off the coast about eight minutes after the captain reported a fire in the cabin.

April 15, 2002 – Busan, South Korea

An Air China Boeing 767 carrying 155 passengers and 11 crewmembers ploughes into a fog-shrouded mountain near Busan, the second largest city in South Korea, killing 129 people.
