Gas explosion kills 2 in Minsk

MINSK  --  Gas explosion killed at least two people in a nine-storeyed building in Minsk, capital of Belarus, on Saturday.

Two were killed and five injured on Saturday in an apartment building in Minsk, presumably as a result of the explosion of domestic gas, Emergency Ministry press-service said.

The Emergency Ministry received the report of an explosion and fire in several apartments on the ninth floor of the house on Plekhanova Street on Saturday evening.

Representatives of the Emergency Ministry arrived at scene of accident immediately and rescued from the fire 9 people while evacuating 22.

In one of the apartments the bodies of two people were found. They are badly burnt and are impossible to identify visually, not even their gender.
