The 2015 China International Culture and Creative Industry Expo, now in its 10th year, is set to launch in Beijing on Oct 29.

Crafts and artistic products from Kyrgyzstan to the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, as well as other areas along the Silk Road, will be highlighted at the expo, as the One Belt, One Road initiative continues to develop momentum.

"This will be a window to show Chinese culture going out," Yu Haibo, deputy director of the organizing committee office, said at a press event in Beijing on Wednesday.

As Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province recently started their regional integration, their common roots in culture and history will also be featured at the expo.

Historical relics, themed toys and gadgets from all three places are displayed to narrate a common identity, according to Yu Ping, deputy head of Beijing's municipal administration for cultural heritage.

"Our pavilion will show that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is connected, and that they share a common culture," Yu said.

The common links historically called the Yanzhao culture date back 3,000 years, and will be shown using up-to-date technology.

"With contributions from museums in the area, we will tell the story of a region that has historically fought harsh natural conditions," Guan Zhanxiu, the head of the Museum of Xizhou Yandu Site, said.

A travel route that includes the most important sites in the region will also be launched. A mobile game based on the region's history will also be unveiled.

This year's expo will also show various cross-over projects that have the cultural industry link to technology, tourism and sports.

"As entrepreneurship is encouraged across the country, we will show how 'culture plus' start-up business is done in the country, " Yu said.
