Police detain six in South China crossfire

GUANGZHOU - Police have captured six suspects involved in a gunfight in South China's Guangzhou city, police said on Sunday.

Two people were killed late Tuesday night, when police were trying to capture a suspected drug dealer in the Haizhu District of the city. The suspected drug dealer and a police informant were killed, while a police officer was injured.

Police captured another two suspected drug dealers on Wednesday and Friday. Four other suspects were also detained for assisting the suspected drug dealers.
