China Cuisine Association enters partnership with Sealed Air

The China Cuisine Association said on Sept 14 that it has established a strategic partnership with Sealed Air, a company that makes packaging materials, in a bid to advance hygiene and food safety standards in restaurants.

The CCA chose the company to support its campaign National Food Service Industry Hygiene and Safety Showcase Project, which aims to set up a food service hygiene and safety program for the restaurant industry.

The project will initially be tested with 100 CCA members.

As a partner, Sealed Air will provide training programs, as well as products and solutions, to improve food safety in the selected restaurants.

Bian Jiang, assistant president of the CCA, said that he hopes that the strategic partnership will boost hygiene conditions at small and medium-sized restaurants.

He added that hygiene conditions in those establishments are a more pressing issue than in larger restaurants.
