Ana Rochelle Pondare, a Filipina with the rare ageing condition progeria, has turned 18.

Pondare has the look of a 60-year-old and the size of a 5-year-old girl. Her skin is wrinkled from face to feet and her muscles have shrunk. She has lost all her hair and can never grow it back.

Those born with the genetic disorder typically live up to their mid-teens to early 20s. With the help of Dr. Pierre R. Clero, who provided a special therapy for her seven years ago, Pondare has become the oldest living progeria sufferer the Philippines.
