Major companies set to take part in appliance and electronics expo

The Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) 2017 will be hosted from March 9 to 11 in Shanghai, said the organizer China Household Electrical Appliance Association on Friday during a news conference.

The exhibition area will reach 120,000 square meters, and the visits are expected to exceed 200,000, said Liu Cheng, who is in charge of the AWE 2017 project.

China's appliance & electronics brands Haier, Midea, Hisense, TCL and Gree and multinational brands such as LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Bosch, Siemens and Whirlpool have already announced plans to launch new products in AWE 2017, according to the association.

Moreover, Huawei and Tesla will also take part in the exhibition.

Apart from paying close attention to the traditional appliance & electronics makers' exploration in the smart systems, the exhibition will also look into how future life could be, and will bring onto stage more smart home scenes, such as smart home, smart transportation, smart healthcare, AR and VR, etc.

It will also specially make a 12,500 square meters' exhibition pavilion, where consumers could experience the use of many smart products in their daily life.
