Participants praise Xi's speech at CIIE opening
We are very glad to see China's commitment to expanding its reform and opening-up drive, as well as its push for strengthened innovation cooperation and technological exchange. This will bring about new opportunities for enhanced economic and trade cooperation between Singapore and China.
The Singapore business community will continue to support China's regional development strategies by deepening collaboration between businesses from both sides. More than just a platform to showcase our products and services, the second CIIE serves as an important avenue for Singapore to facilitate third-party market collaboration between Singapore and Chinese enterprises to seize opportunities under the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road framework.
We also look forward to the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership in 2020, of which China and Singapore number among the 15 RCEP member states. Set to be the biggest free trade agreement in Asia, RCEP will significantly boost our region's future growth prospects and contribute positively to the global economy.
