Obama condemns fatal shootings of police officers in Baton Rouge

WASHINGTON  -- President Barack Obama on Sunday condemned the shootings in Baton Rouge in the US state of Louisiana that killed three police officers and injured several others.

Obama said in a statement that there was "no justification" for the violence. "These attacks are the work of cowards who speak for no one."
