Xi, Tony Tan and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations, along with international and regional issues of common concern. They reached a consensus to redefine China-Singapore ties as a partnership of all-round cooperation, keeping with the times.

On November 7, Xi delivered a speech at the National University of Singapore entitled, "Deepening relations of cooperative partnerships and building a better home in Asia".

He put forward a four-point proposal to develop relations with neighboring countries: To jointly safeguard peace and tranquility, to dovetail development strategy, to expand security cooperation and to cement people-to-people amity.

China and Singapore are friendly neighbors. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 25 years ago, they have become closer, cooperating in various fields to benefit both nations and the peoples of the two countries, as well making positive contributions to peace, stability, development and prosperity of the region.

Xi's Singapore visit brought fruitful outcomes, standing at a new historical starting point, offering a plan for bilateral relations and opening prospects for mutual beneficial cooperation.

Xi reiterated Beijing's determination to follow the path of peaceful development to strengthen friendly cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

China welcomes countries from ASEAN to join the "China Development Express" and to work together implementing the "One Belt, One Road" Initiative and promoting peace, development and cooperation.
