Feeding the hungry

Invited by Food Bank Leadership Institute, Li attended the 4-day global leadership program where 38 countries were represented. Li said her organization started a food drive for the poor last year in Shanghai. "I learned a lot about good organization, food safety, legal and other issues involved in running such a program," she said. "There is no food bank program in China yet, and we need to address the legal issues as well as raise people's awareness of the need before we can have a similar program and truly help the needy."
