ASEAN+3 finance, central bank deputy governors' meeting held in Myanmar

YANGON - An ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Vice Governors' Meeting took place at the Myanmar International Convention Center in Nay Pyi Taw Wednesday, official media reported Thursday.

The meeting is part of the 18th ASEAN Finance Ministers Meeting (AFMM) which has been underway since Tuesday.

At the meeting, participants discussed 16 matters including ASEAN microeconomic issues, participation of countries for Chiang Mai Agreement and securities exchange, said the New Light of Myanmar.

The meeting promotes regional financial stability and brings about benefit to regional economic cooperation in Asia, it added.

Chaired by Myanmar, the 22nd ASEAN Conference of Vice Governors of Central Bank Meeting (ACDM) had been held on Tuesday topping the discussions with cooperation in implementing monetary affairs policy and ASEAN banking services in line with ASEAN monetary affairs framework.

The outcome of the meeting will be submitted to the ASEAN Central Bank Governors' Meeting slated for Friday.
