Besides, some 110 modern drama artists who have made outstanding contribution to Chinese modern drama were honored at the Chinese Modern Drama Centenary Celebration Meeting. Beijing People's Art Theater, better known as Renyi, is the longest-standing drama group in China. Mostly acclaimed for its realistic Beijing dialect plays, it is regarded as a living embodiment of new China's modern drama.
