5、2007 Chinese American Film Festival

To enhance understanding and mutual cooperation in the various areas of media production and distribution between China and America, the Chinese American Film Festival was opened at Hollywood's Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles on November 1. Over one month, a total of 33 movies produced by companies from the China and American showed at the Laemmle Theaters.

The films chosen for the festival include Shanghai Story, Curse of the Golden Flower, A Ballet of Wits, Huo Yuan Jia, Keke Xili and The Blood of Yingzhou District (which won Best Documentary Short at the 79th Academy Awards). They display the broad scope, depth and diversity of Chinese talent.

The festival also presented Golden Angel Awards to those filmmakers who have helped foster relations between China and the United States.
