Child killer executed

A man sentenced to die for grabbing a 2-year-old girl from a stroller and causing her death last year, was executed on Friday, Xinhua News Agency reported.

Han Lei received the death penalty for the homicide in November 2013 at Beijing No 1 Intermediate People's Court in September, and the city's High People's Court confirmed the verdict.

The girl died after Han and her mother argued over parking in the Daxing district of the capital in July last year. During the trial Han insisted that he did not mean to harm the child.
