CCTV, China's national station, has joined with tudou.com, one of the largest video websites in the country, to cover the 2012 London Olympic Games.
This will be the first time CCTV - also the official Olympic broadcaster - has worked with a video website to cover the Games. Tudou.com will run CCTV's special Olympic program, "London Action", which was launched on Jan 23.
Lou Yun, a two-time Olympic vault champion, said the cooperation will offer a unique experience to viewers.
"I cannot remember clearly how I won my first Olympic title at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, but I always remember the first time I used internet and e-mail," Lou said. "I am looking forward to a brand-new experience through this cooperation."
