LONDON - David Svoboda of Czech Republic won the gold medal of the men's modern pentathlon here on Saturday at the London Games.
Svoboda had 5,928 points after Satuday's combined event to edge off China's Cao Zhongrong by 24 points.
Adam Marosi of Hungary took the bronze with a total of 5,836 points.
