WASHINGTON -- US special envoy for Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) policy will kick off his visit to China, the Republic of Korea and Japan on Sunday, the State Department said Thursday.

During his trip, Glyn Davies will meet senior officials in the countries and discuss policy toward the DPRK, it said.

Davies will be accompanied by Sydney Seiler, the new special envoy for six-party nuclear talks that also involve Russia, the department said.
