Chinese man murdered in NW Cambodia: police

(xinhua) Updated: 2014-09-10 17:49

PHNOM PENH - A Chinese man was hacked to death on a rural road in the Pursat province of northwestern Cambodia Tuesday night, a local police chief confirmed Wednesday.

"The 34 years old victim, a store supervisor at a Chinese cassava plantation, was hacked on head to death while he was driving his motorcycle," Em Run, police chief of Krokor district, where the accident occurred, told Xinhua over telephone.

He said the police concluded that the victim was murdered in revenge because the perpetrator did not take victim's motorcycle, money and telephone after killing him.

"We have not determined the identity of the suspect as an investigation is underway," he said.
