Traditional Chinese dress and Korean dress look so similar that many people can't distinguish them. Here are some similarities and differences between the two.

Traditional Chinese clothing is called Hanfu, which means the "traditional dress of the Han Chinese people". Hanfu has many styles and evolved with each dynasty. Clothing for women usually accentuates the body's natural curves through wrapping upper garment lapels or binding with sashes at the waist.

Hanfu has influenced many of its neighboring cultural costumes. Korean Hanbok is one of them. Hanbok incorporated the styles of Hanfu from the Ming and Tang dynasties and gradually developed a style of its own. It is often characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines without pockets.
