By Sun Yuanqing | China Daily | Updated: 2015-10-30 09:08

Watches & Wonders 2015, Asia's own version of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, ended earlier this month.

Despite the rocky prospects for the luxury watch market in Asia, watchmakers continue to dish out their newest creations to impress lovers of fine watchmaking in Asia.

Some innovate on their house heritage while others pay homage to Asian traditions. Here are some highlights.

An epitome of Van Cleef & Arpels' feminine DNA, the original design of the Cadenas watch dates back to the 1930s-said to be inspired by the Duchess of Windsor. The simplistic yet sophisticated design allows the wearer to read the time in a graceful manner. The new version offers nine models in different colors of gold and some are abundantly encrusted with diamonds.
