A hospital is taking care of a tiny baby girl who was born after only six months in the womb in Qinhuangdao, North China’s Hebei province, Beijing Morning Post reported on Thursday.

When born in August, the baby weighed only 580 grams and was 28 centimeters long. Her skin was transparent, and her hands and feet were only the size of an adult’s fingernail.

The baby is the result of her mother’s fifth pregnancy. The woman, who is nearly 50 years old, has previously been pregnant four times. She aborted her first pregnancy. Her second and third children were born healthy, but died as children. She miscarried her fourth pregnancy.

The hospital conducted surgery to close the baby’s artery duct when she was 25 days old, and has formed a team to take care of her.
