ANKARA - Turkish rescuers found the wreckage early Monday of a military helicopter that went missing on Sunday and recovered the remains of all four crew members, local media reported.

The wreckage of the S-70B Sikorsky was discovered at a village in the northwestern province of Kocaeli, private Dogan news agency said.

The helicopter went missing soon after taking off from Izmit military airport. It was heading to Konya airbase.

The last major accident involving a military aircraft happened in early September, when a F-16D fighter jet crashed on landing at an airbase in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir. The two pilots onboard ejected unharmed.
