EU and China push for improvements in student mobility

EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Mrs. Androulla Vassiliou (left) delivers a key note speech on "A European Perspective on Education and Employment" for the fifth Annual EU Day at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Beijing Campus on Dec 1, 2012. Commissioner Vassiliou stressed mobility and adaptability as two essential factors for increasing employment opportunities. "Both the EU and China believe that mobility of students plays a central role in skill development and cultural dialogue. The EU and China have just formalized two initiatives to promote cooperation on education between them. One will strengthen the compatibility of the education programs offered in the EU and China, the other aims to improve student mobility to encourage more EU students to study in China and more Chinese students to study in the EU," the commissioner said.
