LONDON - Two people are missing after two Royal Air Force (RAF) Tornado jets crashed in the Moray Firth area in northern Scotland on Tuesday.
The British Ministry of Defense said "the RAF is aware of an incident in the Moray Firth area involving two Tornado GR4 aircraft from RAF Lossiemouth" and an investigation into this incident has been underway.
Two people have been picked up by helicopter after the crashing, while three lifeboats are still searching for the two missing crew, according to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The Tornado GR4 is a variable geometry, two-seat, day or night, all-weather attack aircraft, capable of delivering a wide variety of weapons, said RAF.
