5、The 11th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival

From October 27 to November 4, the 11th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival was held in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. Performers from China, Russia, France, the United States, Germany, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Spain and other nations and regions presented 31 repertoires during the nine-day festival.

This Festival adopts “Friendship, Exchange, Prosperity, Development and Be Ready for 2008 Olympic Games” as its theme. It aims at building a world-renowned competition area for acrobats, promoting the exchange and development of acrobatic art, further extending the reform and opening-up, enhancing Sino-foreign understanding, and boosting the development of the cultural industry as well as the whole society.
