"Haibao," the mascot representing the Shanghi World Expo was unveiled on the Shanghai Grand Stage on Dec. 18. The mascot "Haibao," which means the treasure of the seas, is another Expo symbol created from Chinese character following the Expo emblem in the shape of 世(world). As most of the mascot of World Expo, Haibao was an imaginary object which created from the Chinese character "人," meaning people. The mascot manifests a "people-oriented" sprit and tells the public "people" the foundation to build a better life, the organizers explained.
In the same moth four projects for Shanghai World Expo - the Performance Center ,the China Pavilion, the Theme Pavilion, and the Expo Center - have already started construction.
4、The 2007 Lianzhou International Photo Festival

The 2007 Lianzhou International Photo Festival is an annual international festival enabling collaboration between photography, art, sociology, anthropology and urban studies. It consists of over 90 exhibits and top photographers, artists, and experts from around the world participated in the exhibition, related forums and screenings.
