BEIJING - Liao Yongyuan, general manager of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), one of the nation's oil giants, is being investigated for suspected "serious law and discipline violations," according to a statement released Monday by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
